Welcome to South Boston Yoga! If it is your first visit to our studio or first yoga class, here are a few suggestions to help you enjoy your experience. To find us, visit our Location page. To contact us, visit the About Us page.
- Wear loose, comfortable clothing that you can move and stretch in.
- You may bring your own yoga mat, however we provide clean, eco-friendly mats for a $1 rental fee.
- Arrive a few minutes early to fill out your new student information form.
- Before class, please introduce yourself to the instructor, letting them know of any special conditions (i.e. pregnancy) or injuries so that they may better assist you during the class.
- Don't push yourself. On your first class, kick back and relax a little. See what it's all about, and feel free to ask questions when the class is over.
- Please refrain from using perfume, cologne or strongly scented products. Other students will be breathing deeply and we want everyone to enjoy the air around them.
- Cell phones, PDAs, non-emergency pagers and other portable electronics must be completely turned off or switched to silent (not vibrate) in the studio.
- Try to practice on an empty stomach. Give yourself a few hours after a full meal to digest.
- We are not a hot yoga studio. The room will be kept warm and comfortable at around 80-85 degrees.
- Being a green studio, we do not sell bottled water. However, we have a premium water filter and you are welcome to bring your own bottle to fill for class.
- We have mat storage available for yearly and monthly pass holders.
- Our teachers may give hands-on adjustments during class to deepen or relax your pose. Please let the instructor know if you are uncomfortable with this. We respect your safety and comfort in your practice.
If you have any other questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us and we'll be happy to help.
