Personal training is a great compliment to a regular yoga practice. It can help balance the strength and mobility in your body and prevent injuries.
Training at South Boston Yoga works similar to our bodywork appointments. Sessions are arranged in one-on-one formats or some trainers lead small group sessions. Sessions are scheduled directly between the client and the trainer (contact information below), and all payment is made directly to the trainer, not to South Boston Yoga. Our trainers are all very experienced in a variety of fitness and therapeutic modalities with appropriate certifications.
Stacey Schaedler completed her undergraduate degree in Exercise Science at UMass Amherst in 2006. She is a Certified Personal Trainer through the American College of Sports Medicine. She holds Russian Kettlebell Certifications RKC as well as Art Of Strength AOS Kettlebell Certifications. Stacey completed her RYT with David Vendetti and the National Yoga Alliance. In addition she is a Certified Functional Movement Specialist FMS allowing her to design specific plans for each of her clients which prevents pain, reduces injury, increases cognitive functioning as well as improves performance.
In her spare time Stacey is also a Professional Figure Competitor with the World Natural Bodybuilding Federation WNBF.
Despite her tough exterior Stacey's knowledge of the body and fierce passion for teaching others combines to produce amazing results. With the influence of specifically sequenced corrective exercise, mind body integration, and solid strength training Stacey is able to help anyone reach their goals.
Greg is a graduate of Northeastern University with his degree in Athletic Training. He began his private training career with Equinox before moving on to work on his own. In addition to training at South Boston Yoga, he is a trainer at Barry's Bootcamp in Boston.
While particularly specializing with injuries, Greg also has extensive experience in working with people from all walks of life, including those seeking to lose weight, become more athletic, increase balance and flexibility, or just plain feel better.
He believes in coaching movements, not muscle groups, and that no matter where you are on the spectrum of wellness, you can always make a small improvement that will yield dividends in the future.

Kirsten Amann (better known to friends and clients as Kitty) is an ACE-certified personal trainer, registered yoga teacher, and certified reiki practitioner. Kitty found her way to fitness in her mid-twenties though yoga. What began as a break from the treadmill developed into a weekly habit and a deep fascination with the mind body-connection.
The quest to tackle the most physically challenging yoga asanas inevitably led Kitty back to the gym. Previously intimidated by the weight room, she discovered strength training as the key to transforming her practice.
Whether teaching yogis to balance, conditioning with cardio, or helping weightlifters learn to improve their results with flexibility, Kitty incorporates multiple modalitites to create well-rounded programs for her clients. She strives to meet clients where they are and help them make small changes that amount to big results.
